## How to use Archelle

- Choose length, area or volume.
- Select the conversion direction and your plan’s scale.
- Enter a measurement and select the input and output units.
- Read the result, reverse the conversion, or copy and share the value.

### Useful guidance

Why do area and volume factors differ?

At 1:100, length is multiplied by 100, area by 100² and volume by 100³. For example, 1 cm² on the plan represents 1 m² in reality.

How do I use a custom scale?

Tap the scale, scroll to Custom scale, enter the number after 1: and choose Apply. For a 2× enlargement, use 1:0.5.

What does ≈ mean?

The calculation or display is approximate. Results show up to 12 significant digits; reversing uses the full calculation value.

Can I measure a plan using the screen?

The dimension line is a visual reference. Use a suitable ruler and check the document’s intended print size: resizing changes its scale.

### Calculations and measurements

Calculations run on your device. From version 1.1, you can explicitly save calculations in a local history of up to 200 entries and reopen their inputs and results. Archelle does not send your measurements or history to Libra or an analytics service.

### No collection or tracking

Archelle has no user accounts, advertising, in-app purchases or analytics tools. It does not collect personal data or request access to your contacts, photos or location.

### Copying and sharing

When you choose Copy or Share, the result is sent to the clipboard or the app you select. The system may sync the clipboard with your other devices. Recipient apps apply their own privacy policies.

### Retention and deletion

Saved calculations remain in the app’s local storage until you delete them. You can delete one entry or clear the entire history in the app. When the 200-entry limit is exceeded, the oldest entry is removed. Earlier versions do not have a saved history. System device backups follow your device and Apple settings. Results you have copied or shared must be deleted in the recipient apps.

This policy concerns the Archelle app. If you contact support, your message is used to reply to you. Visiting this website may create technical logs at the hosting provider; no analytics tools or forms are added to these pages.
